Facility Specifications
Designed to process continuous agricultural biomass without fossil fuel reliance or fugitive methane emissions.
Honest Stage Commitment: CarboMomentum does not issue speculative credits before plant commissioning. All production volumes remain strictly in the design planning phase.
From Residue to Removal
Crop Residue SourcingBiomass
Sugar mills generate massive bagasse volume during crushing. Instead of decaying or polluting, surplus bagasse is trucked to our nearby facility.

Oxygen-Free Pyrolysis (550°C–700°C)
Bagasse is thermally decomposed inside a sealed reactor. Volatiles combust as clean syngas to sustain process heat, while pure elemental carbon is preserved.
High-Purity Biochar
The solid carbon matrix is quenched with water and tested for fixed carbon content (>75%) and low molar ratios, locking CO₂ away permanently.
Regional Soil ApplicationLoam Sequestration
Biochar is applied to agricultural soils across South Gujarat, neutralizing acidity, restoring microbial life, and remaining stable for over 1,000 years.

Gujarat Facility Milestones
Step-by-step progress tracking from initial biomass audits to commercial-scale credit issuance.
Feedstock Feasibility & Biomass Catchment
Completed multi-mill bagasse surplus audit across the South Gujarat Region (Surat district). Laboratory testing confirmed >75% fixed carbon potential.
Site Selection & Pre-Registration Audits
Currently securing industrial site lease within 30km of supplier mills. Preparing preliminary environmental clearances and methodology documentation.
Project currently advancing through pre-registration audits in accordance with the Isometric Biomass CDR Standard and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) CCTS compliance frameworks.EPC & Reactor Procurement
Procurement of continuous multi-hearth thermal pyrolysis reactor and automated digital weighbridge telemetry equipment.
Plant Commissioning & dMRV Calibration
Integration of IoT temperature sensors, gas emissions scrubbers, and certified third-party testing protocols.
Commercial Production & Registry Issuance
Full-capacity bagasse processing, regional agricultural biochar distribution, and verified CORC issuance for corporate offtake partners.
Beyond Carbon: Regional Co-Benefits
Soil Moisture & Nutrient Retention
Biochar porous structure increases soil moisture capacity by 18–25% in South Gujarat’s sugarcane and horticulture belts, shielding farmers against monsoon irregularities.
Farmer Economic Value
Creates additional revenue for sugarcane farmers and cooperatives through long-term bagasse offtake contracts while reducing fertilizer replenishment costs.
Zero Open Burning & Air Quality
Diverting agricultural residue into sealed thermal pyrolyzers prevents open field burning and uncontrolled greenhouse gas release in rural Gujarat.
